We believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be really loud, and good leaders always care. Before kids head off to middle school, we want to make sure these three things stick: I need to make the wise choice, I can trust God no matter what, & I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
High Hill Christian Church Elementary Ministry Exists to Nurture the Faith of Kingdom Workers!
WHAT WE ARE LEARNING
The focus in Elementary is our small group environment. We want kids to see how God's Word fits in to their lives, to learn how to talk to him, and to build friendships that will last.
INITIATIVE – Seeing what needs to be done and doing it
"Work at everything you do with all your heart. Work as if you were working for the Lord." Colossians 3:23a, NIrV
WHAT WE VALUE
CREATIVE BIBLE TEACHING
The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We bring Bible stories to life through activities and conversations that keep children engaged. We want all children to love God’s Word and understand its value in their lives.
We take lots of steps before kids arrive to keep them safe. Every toy and environment gets cleaned and sanitized. And, every volunteer is screened with an interview and federal background check. Our whole team — from staff members to small group leaders to safety personnel — are trained to keep your kids safe.
Everything from our environments, to the language we use in our lessons, to our small group materials are created with your child’s age and stage in mind.
We want children to know there are people at church who care about them. Children are placed in a small group of familiar faces where relationships can grow.
Kids love fun! We create fun ways for children to learn about Jesus, including games, activities, singing, and live acting. When children have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back.
THE RIDE HOME
We encourage parents to keep the conversation going on the car ride home. Ask your child these two questions:
Did you have fun?
What did you learn?
Our goal is to have a positive answer to both of those questions each week.
